What is a reason for a 13 year old young man have to see an endocrinologist?
Angela, since males have Pituitary glands, Thyroids, Adrenal glands Testes and a Pancreas which are all hormone secrection glands there could be hundreds of reasons. My total uneducated guess would be a growth problem.
A Pituitary problem can affect any of the other glands in the body and an Endoctronologist can tesst for whatever hormones they suspect are not functioning correctly and make the correction necessary to straighten out the problem.

Hard to say with this little bit of info. Growth issues or diabetes would be the most likely.
I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
This web site has very good information about the endocrine system and the role of an endocrinologist. http://www.hormone.org/public/endocrinologist.cfm. Since I have diabetes for many years, I have been treated by an endocrinologist, and he has been a tremendous help.
Hi,
The endocrinologist has to do with our hormones and there are quite a few of them. So it could be anything from a thyroid imbalance to diabetes to a growth problem I would need way more info... Good luck with that!
