I'm a preschool teacher and I have a Manduca caterpillar that just hatched this morning. It's hanging on it's branch and it's wings are inflated. I put a hummingbird feeder with nectar (sugar water) in it, into the box. Will the moth live on that or not? I know that it only lives for about a week. The kids have been wating for about 4 months for it to hatch, so I didn't want to let it go right away. But, I also don't want it to die from starvation. Thank you.
