Main shut off valve for water supply coming to my house is jammed....

This is a plumbing question. Main water connection coming to my house is located in the crawl space. The spline wheel handle (to open and shut water supply)which I believe is made of zinc is impossible to turn even after using WD40. I have already broken few using too much force. Any good ideas?, Thanks.

Home improvement projects, "Get'er done."

Save yourself some aggravation and have the valve replaced. It sounds like it's already in bad shape. Messing around with it at this point will only cause further damage.
