Can my hbp meds cause low blood pressure? I have been on bhp meds (Lisinopril 10 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg) for 5 weeks. At the same time--I started taking meds for underactive thyroid (Levothyroxin 50 mcg). These I take early morning 1 x a day. In the middle of the afternoon--I am having a period of time when I am feeling so weak--and my arms just feel heavy--that is how weak I feel! I am a fairly active female, age 63, 5'3" and 153 pounds. I am not "winded" when active. When I am feeling that "weak sensation"----out of curiosity, I checked my blood pressure and it then is running like 89/68 or 87/68 with a pulse of 75-80. I feel "drained". A couple hours later I gradually feel normal again. What is happening? Do I need to be doing something different? My 6 weeks followup is not till March 16. Is this something I should report to my dr earlier? My GP is new to me--and does not seem thorough. Could I be over-medicated or under-medicated?
