I'm interested in:

Longer average lifespan.

Recently been reading about this and thought I'd see what you guys think. Please don't answer regarding whether you'd want to or not, just consider the question...

Do you think, given advances in health, diet, sanitation, and increasing knowledge or cell replication, organ growing, telomeres etc...people will soon begin to live around 100-120 on average? Perhaps several hundreds of years? Forever?

Again, not whether this is "right" or "the consequences" of this, just do you think it will be possible?

Possible, yes.  Probable, that's an issue.  Geron Corp. is researching telomerase even as we speak and trying to come up with a strategy to "reset" cell aging.  The bulk of their research is aimed towards cancer treatments, but some is towards anti-aging efforts.  It is already possible for most people to live to ninety if they have the right diet, exercise and medical care.  That the average age of death has dropped in recent years instead of increasing shows that they don't have those things.

I suppose that the most likely outcome in a hundred years from now is that some people can live to 120 and some can live to 60 depending on their circumstances.  If telomerase research pays off, people may be able to live for two hundred years or more.  How many people can afford the treatment(s) is unknown since the cost can't be known.
