Little girl

I am the owner of a playschool and one of the 2 and half year girl, seems to be having emotional problems - being aggressive and totally challenges authority. Whiles changing her nappy we noticed that the her vigina opening is rather prominent (u can see inside)? Is that normal at her age?

Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

I am not a doctor so I don't know if what you describe is physically 'normal' or not.

But it sounds to me as though you are wondering if sexual abuse is taking place.

If her behavior is not the norm (in other words, it is excessive for the type of negative and selfish behavior most two year olds often present) and/or if it is the complete opposite of how she previously behaved, AND it is coupled with the physical evidence you notice then you are legally obligated to report your suspicions to the authorities.

I understand that you don't want to wrongfully accuse someone and bring discord to her family, but that pales in comparison to what may happen should your suspicions prove to be correct and you were to do nothing.

I agree with jk grandma 100%. You may want to ask a Dr about the physichal part. I am assuming that her behavior IS definately out of the ordinary since you own a pre-school and feel the need to ask this question. At best it is very likely that this is a LEARNED behavior that she is picking up at home; worst case scenario she is being abused, either way I believe this child needs your help and you are correct to ask this question. I would contact child welfare so they can see that she gets what ever help she needs.Trust your instincts, you KNOW children better than most people do.
