My adult son was told that he needed brain surgery called endoscopic third ventriculstomy of the brain. Has anyone had this done or know of someone or a site, blog, etc., that I might be able to get information whether it worked or not for other people. It is also called quadrigeminal plate, another term is lipoma, he has a tumor on his brain, he also has a fatty mass there and the first surgery will be to redirect the flow of liquid and if that doesn't work then he will have a second surgery to insert a shunt. I have tried to find people that have had this done or know of someone who has and I am at a loss as to the pro and cons, etc. Any help on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
