Leg pains at night

my daughter aged 3 1/4 yrs has been suffering from leg pains for a long time.blood and urine test have been done on doctores prescription.the doctor said it could be due to calcium and iron deficiences and so ferrocalcium tonic was prescribed.stil these episodes of leg pains do occur mostly in the night.when these pains are severe i give 5ml of tastymol which gives some relief.is ther some way to avoid them completely?

I saw a similar story on the tv a couple of months ago. It was about a boy who could hardly stand, his legs were in so much pain. It turns out that he was lacking a lot of nutrients and vitamins. I can't remember which ones though, but I think you should talk to your doctor about some supplements for your daughter, and which foods would be the best to feed her for the time being.

It sounds to me like it's definitely a lack of iron. You need to try and be on the game with her supplements. They sound like they are really helping her. You should also have her really checked out for iron deficiency. It may need to be treated with more than just a supplement. You should at least try to find out.

I have many answers! Not sure if they are right!

Is it growing pains? I know silly question. Did they determine if it is muscle pain or joint pain ?

I feel bad your little girl is dealing with this. I know i had the worst growing pains at that age. My mom still tells me how much I whined. Hope you find the answer
