I want to start a Mervesobile prostate cancer screening clinice. The purpose of the mobile clinic is to provide free health screening, education, prevention and medical clinical service to a broad-based population, with the goal of improving the health status of residents-particularly those without access to regular ongoing health care. The intent of this service is to break down barriers to health care. Black,White and Hispanic, they have all kings of health peoblems, some complex, but most have never had the luxury of continuous health care. As a result, they don't know how to manage medical treatment and medication. They are the uninsured, the indigent and the homeless work that get redular paychecks, but they do not qualify for medicaid or medicare benefits and are unable to pay for health care insurance. Many African-American lack health care insurance and rely on hospital energency rooms as their primary point of medical care."That's where most of our people go when they get sick," There's also a lingering mistrust of doctors and hospitals within the black-belt community in Alabama, fed by incidents such as the infamous Tuskegee experiment in which doctors let black men with syphilis go untreated for years to study its effect.
The mobile clinic will be licensed by the Alabama Department of Public Health Dept. Provided free health screening, education and prevention in a number of highly visible and accessible sites throughout the black-belt region. Service including prostate cancer, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, obesity and sick-cell screening tests. Many people don't receive the medical care they need. Often, they may not have means to get to their physician;s offices. Money may also be a constraint. The mobile clinic allows patients to monitor their health and spot potential problems before they become serious. If the mobile clinic does find health concerns, patients are then referred to their primary care physician for follow-up care.
