I have a floor lamp that uses a two piece device that attaches to the stand and holds the shade secure. This two piece plastic device will NOT seperate. Is there a way to seperate the two and if not where can I buy a new part?
You could try soaking the plastic part in very warm (almost hot) water for a few minutes, then use a thin screwdriver to seperate the two parts.
