I have a pattern that I developed for a drop shoulder all over cable I call wandering cable.  Directions include not sizes, but directions for making a sweater that is based on your size and prefered ease. This sweater is appropiate for all sizes from very small to very large.  Directions include long and short sleeve versions.  This is a unuiversal sized sweater.  View Pictures are of me in 2X.   http://www.flickr.com/photos/35144282@N04/3257803257/in/set-72157613405027927/

Price is $10

If you don't get a satisfactory answer, write to me at CelloLady1@AOL.com.   I have over 100 knitting books and will find a nice Aran sweater for you.  Are you sure you want to work in mohair?  I've found from experience that the recipient of the sweater doesn't like the itchy feeling of mohair.    Louise

Have you tried  Big Girl Knits  &  More Big Girl Knits by Amy Singer & Jillian Morena. You can usually get them at the library if you don't want to buy the book. I don't know if they have a mohair sweater but they have beautiful patterns for large sizes.
