I think she had a really good fan base, from her Dawson's Creek days, even before she married Tom.  Obviously their relationship has given her fame, but she is a really talented actress in her own right.

I do not doubt that she loves him, it is whether he loves her I always wondered.  He seems to control her and forced the whole scientology thing on her, and she just follows him blindly.

Well I knew her from Dawsons Creek but from what I know she wasn't that famous. I really liked her because she was a very shy and sweet girl and she wasn't some one you can hate. I think ever since she married Tom she got more attention and she's more famous.

Katie is blinded by love and I feel like she could've done better. But then again she is happy to be with him and she loves him and that's all that matters.

I watched her all the time on Dawson's Creek.  Maybe because of the age difference he can infulence her,  but she is an actor in her own right.

Katie Holmes is an amazing actor...She has done more then Dawson's Creek and we should give her credit for it...the woman is starring on broadway!!!!!  and Tom Cruise is an amazing actor and all around great guy...why is it so bizarre to everyone that two people in "Hollywood" found true love and are actually happy together...He's not controlling, she's not blind their in love and have 1 life together

She is very pretty and talented. I suppose she might not be as famous if she did not marry Tom, but she still has a long carreer ahead of her.  As for him, he is getting old and showing it !!!
