Jeep 4WD noises up front

My 2004 Grand Cherokee with full time 4wd and ABS makes a growling or chattering noise from front wheels when slow turning in forward and reverse, like clutches, (if it has clutches), that do not fully let the wheels rotate at different speeds. Very similar to a locked 4WD on none slippery surface. Can this be fixed?? Thanks. Dave1Mary@aol.com
