Input by the Public to the Obama Transition Team for Change

In Las Vegas, Nevada, zipcode 89169 was changed by USPS from zipcode  89109.  However, this new zip has created some controversy that affects service to the public.  Zip code 89169 is not being accepted by some services on the internet and reasons given by USPS are from nebulous to unacceptably elitist.

One reason given has been that Las Vegas is such a quickly expanding community that USPS cannot keep up with changing zipcodes.

The elitist part of the delay in making an explanation public is the alleged effect the change has on property values of new highrise condos on Paradise Road versus low cost housing in the same zip code area from Twain-Swenson to Sierra Vista-Swenson.  The public can see that Property Law does represent Power but the National Economic Downturn is having its effect on the rich and the poor and it seems that the rich are better off for it.

An equitable solution is in order and should be forthcoming in order to alleviate what appears to be a vexing problem to the community.  Please have USPS address this inequity "Publicly" forthwith.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

Is there a question here?
