Hormone Issues

After arguing with Doctors for years about my symptoms, I was finally told I had an inactive thyroid. I was prescribed syntroid and took it for a month. No change and due to personal reasons I could not get back to the doctor for 6 months after finishing the medication. I had another blood test and was told my thyroid is normal. I find this odd as my symptoms are still there. How does this happen? Also is there any other hormonal issues in women that mimic the symptoms of an inactive thyroid that a regular CBC and TSH, FSH blood test would not show? Is an adrenal disease or illness possible? Thank you in advance for your help.

If there is a will.. there is a way

I had the same issues a few months after my pregnancy.. I was told I had thyroid issues and was told to come back later for test.. when I had returned the test showed I did not have it.. what I finally found out it was linked to the birth control I was using which was depo.. I brought it to the attention of my docs who denied it but I knew that had to be the culprit after doing research myself online and hearing other women going through it as well.. Although your case may be very different from mine.. I had to share my experience with you.. I was told I had it and than the next I did not have any trace of what they diagnosed me for.. it was the hormones from the birth control that threw my readings over the edge.. hopefully someone who went through the same as you has the answer you seek.. stay strong and continue researching..
