Honestly..about jealousy

Honest opinion:

Are people jealous of attractive people?

Its superficial, I know, but in recent years, I've known some pretty people who have been victimised for being pretty. Its not their fault. Sure, not everyone gets jealous, but for those who do, it causes problems for everyone involved. The bottom line: jealousy is a form of hate.

But seriously, is jealousy a superficial thing? Is it 'I want what shes having' or is it really insecurities a person feels about themselves, that come out when they see someone who unintentionally flaunts what they got. Id like to know peoples opinions, thankyou =)

I think everyone gets jealous at some point. It's human nature. Jealousy mainly stems from insecurities.. and we all are insecure in 1 way or another. Many women will see an attractive woman and say something negative about her instead of just saying "wow, she's really pretty"  The ironic thing is that the majority of beautiful people don't think they're beautiful.

" Idoubt that there's a general rule on this. "Sub-conscious" may be a better word than superficial. Example: my mother was prom queen 2 years in a row and thought nothing of it. Her best friend was extremely jealous and was forever buying expensive clothes to compensate. Another friend thought nothing of it and she-89, and my mother-88, still talk about it today. For me, I always wondered why it was so easy for some goofy guys, so difficult for me with women. Anyway, jealousy goes back to the biblical Cain and Abel.  It wasn't good then, it certainly isn't today.

What comes around goes around.

Jealousy can definitely be a form of hate. But I don't think it's the kind of hate that one can control so easily. I mean, when I think of the kind of lifestyle Paris Hilton was born into (more money than anyone can imagine), I am jealous that she was lucky enough to get that; and I wonder why I wasn't that lucky. It's a jealousy that I cannot always control.
