How Can I Go Home Again?

I've been estranged from my parents for 13 years and am pregnant with my 3rd baby. I haven't let them see or meet the first 2 grandbabies. We live several states away.  I left home in a huff and blamed my mom for not agreeing with me and since that time I dug a hole of misconceptions and outright fabrications about her I don't know how to fix. It seems easier to stay away and associate with the relatives that helped me leave than it is to go back yet I want to go home deep down. Any suggestions?

Call her. Tell her what you told us. Say, "I love you, Mom and I'm sorry." She'll understand.

Thumbs up jkgrandma...Go home and make peace. Mom's always love thier babies. I'm sure she would love to see you and her grandchildren. Apologize! A simple I am sorry heals all matter of wounds.

   Your mother will be very happy to hear from you.  Just apologize and be humble.  She'll forget everything that happened  after seeing you again and your children.  They love their grandkids.

Hi Estranged D, I think I would write to mom first, and tell her you would like to see her again. Ask her how she would feel about it. Include your phone number and ask her to call you. Send pictures of you and the grandbabies. They say a picture can say a thousand words. Good luck. Stardust

Everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. You have yours and I have mine. Doesn't mean I'm right & your wrong. It just makes us diffrent.

i have to say i agree with the previous post you should call her or get her email address and send pics too! i don't see how any mother could not want to see her daughter and grandchildren. Chances are she's probably been missing you too. And i have to say it takes alot of courage to do what your doing. I can only imagine how difficult it must be after such a long time and so many mixed feelings between the two of you. Best of luck to you!
