If it had been my daughter he had done this to, he wouldn't have to be be worrying about this now because he would have been been buried years ago.What I don't understand,how can she have been through so much and now don't want this persued any longer as far as she's concerned? I cannot agree with her  but she is the one that went through this horror of horrors,and maybe her heart is bigger than mine. The LA Times article, I haven't read it and I don't know how they came to that conclusion,unless it's because of the length of time that has gone by or since they figure she might stand for an acquittal if it went to trial.It might be the lenght of a trial and the expense. I don't know. Personally, I would rather have seen a mob take him and cut the penis is small slices untill there was nothing left but a pocket where it use to be.That would have been my justice after death. My opinion only.

So many pedophile (sp?) get away with it! This case is different he drug the child! At the age of 13 she has learned to forgive him and does not want this to go to trial. However, did he do it again? Probably? No one has come forward to admit it! I do believe he should be tried for the crime - no question.

Wish he'd gotten caught ages ago.  It doesn't matter what good he has done as far as his career goes, this man raped a little girl.  He has finally been aprehended and he needs to stand trial.  The fact that the child/now woman has forgiven him means nothing.  Civilized society has not forgiven him.  He must go to trial for his crime.

I have suffered from sexual abuse.  It controls you for a very long time until you get control of it.   First mentally you have to forgive that person for hurting you(does not mean let him get away with it).  Then you have to forgive yourself and forget it.

Unfortunately some people carry that hurt and let that hurt........hurt them for the rest of their lives.  It is over, let it go.  They might have touched your flesh, but they never touched your heart(spirit).
