Maybe your horse likes you better without a hat?

May The Horse Be With You !

He's playing with you , horses love games .  Two of mine one day removed my farriers hat right off his head and took off across the pasture and dropped it in the pond .  As you know horses have a sense of humor and love to have fun . I trained a horse one time that would take his lead off it's hook and try and hit people with it as they walked by his stall  , of course not the trainer !  This is why as you do well know we love horses .

I agree with the 3rd reply. Your Horse is Playing with you! Watch any Horse when a small child approaches. The first thing they do is sniff then tussle the kids' hair with their big upper lip, then nudge the kids head (usually gently...for a full grown Horse) from side to side then it's back to tussling the kids hair again....& so on as long as the kid stands there,. The owners of the Stable where I board have put a 4 ft. dangling chain in a stall because the Horse that occupies it loves to grab it lightly in his teeth & run the chain between his upper & lowers in a downward swoop. When Carter reaches the end of the chain he grabs it again at the top & starts all over again. One last thing: Your Horse may like the smell of your hat too thinking it will taste good. When he finds it doesn't, he drops it. My question to you is this: If you know he's gonna do this to you, why do you stand in the mud? LOL! Seems to me, that dry land is in order , here. Good Luck & God's Blessings

LET'S

PROMISE to fight stress with laughter and keep wellness a priority, with good choices, regular check-ups, and finding time to pamper ourselves, too-

I think it's his way of playing w/you.

yes I agree with answers 3 and 4, he is playing with you, horses actually have many ways of playing with people and things. We had a horse that played with a hoppity hop if you know what that is. Other people have told me simular stories.
