Try moving the steering wheel back and forth while turning the key.

tsjhak,  Call a tow truck.  If the key won't turn after wiggling the steering wheel, some of the tumblers have worn down.  You need a new ignition installed.  This happened to me once.  Sorry, not a cheap bill.

Don't panic! First twist the steering wheel to the left a little. Does it move? if yes, then hold it in that position and GENTLY try turning the key. You can wiggle it a little to free it up. Make sure the shift lever is all the way in Park, and your foot is on the brake. If the wheel does not move, turn it in the other direction. It will move in one direction or the other, and the key should loosen-up and turn or pull out, but be easy, don't force it or you can twist or break off the key.
