IS THERE A LAW IN VIRGINIa that limits the time one can stay on a ventilater, my cousin been on a vent 2 days and hospital telling family that state law limit is 5 days. my cousin only has double pnuemonia?

Hi,

I'm an RN and I've never heard of any limit on someone being on the ventilator.

I advise you to talk to the Nurse Manager in that unit.
