It seems obvious that no one answered a question asked by at least one other--who, where, and what is Lydia Bastianich's husband? She never mentions him, or any part he played in the lives of herself and her children. It is so obvious, yet you would think someone has the resources to find out. Does anyone know?
I think it would help us to understand and sympathize with her flight to the US and her encampment if we understood how she came it have a non-Italian last name and why she still uses it in spite of his not being a part of her or her family's life. I never usually feel such a curiosity, but it is so obvious that I must plead my human weakness to know something about a celebrity.
