Poor lady - she must be going crazy by now. There are lots of home cures around. And now I'm starting to itch in empathy.
If you do a search for "natural cures shingles" you'll find there is much helpful information out there. I think I read something on a forum recently and can't find it right now. I will contine to look and come back with that info when I find it.
In the meantime, and this sounds absolutely crazy, try some white colgate toothpaste on part of it - I know this may be horrible if it's in her hair. I have used it on shingles and poison ivy and gotten several hours of relief.
I once poured some apple cider vinegar in my bath water along with some olive oil - sounds like salad, I know, and that did have a soothing effect for a while too.
I'll be back when I find the other remedy.
Please bear with her. It's hard to believe something that doesn't look horrendous can be so cruel and unrelenting. My prayers for some quick relief.
