I was reading the article concerning Rancho Cucamonga City Councilman Gutierrez and his arrest. It is disturbing that a Councilman could possibly be guilty (innocent until proven guilty) o fmisappropriation o fpublic funds and grand theft. Waht I don't understand is how can one man be guilty of such a crime yet our State of California has misappropriated public funds for years. Our state is 24 billion dollars in debt and there is no misappropriation of funds? Who can be held accountable for this? Why is one man singled out when a whole system of government is guilty of the same? If you look at the big picture, our local and federal government is guilty of grand theft and misappropriation of public funds. Our country is in so much debt and we hide behind a cloak of power. Can justice really be served here?
