Elymas F. Wilkins-I would like to find information about him and his family. I only have a location of Hayden, Jennings, Indiana and dates of 1844-1915. Please send let me know if you find anything at hanki2@aol.com

In 1850 census he was 6 yrs. old living at Mount Vernon ward 5,knox,Ohio. His mothers name is Matilda she was age 26. Fathers name Thomas. Age 27. Siblings , Frances E.,age 2 yrs.,William A. Below one year of age.....In 1900 and 1910 census they lived in Spencer,Jenning,Indiana. His wifes name was Rosa E. and they were married in 1899. Their children..Florence,Myrtle,Maud and zoeV. Elymas birthplace was Ohio.Both his parents were born in Ohio......I hope i have been of help to you...Blessings, Veronica

Thank you so much for the information. He was my great great grandfather. My parents separated when I was very young, so I know only a little of my family history. I have developed an incredible thirst for knowledge about my heritage. I love finding out about the people I came from and who and what they were about. Thank you again for your help.

Dear Veronica, Would you happen to know how I might be able to or if it is even possible to get birth or death records for Elymas or other members of that branch of the family? I know he was born in 1844,Paulding, Ohio and died in 1915, Hayden Jennings, IN. Is there a local courthouse that I might contact for the information? I haven't managed to find one yet online.

Died Jan.20,1915 in Hayden, Jennings, Indana.His wife was Harriet Shoemaker Born Nov.1845 in Ohio. Died April,1998 in Jennings co.,Indiana. Harriets parents were John Shoemaker B.1801 D.1846. Mildred Jane Shoemaker B.1809 D.1881. They were married Dec.1865. Their children are Jane B.1829 D.1910, Francis Ulysses B.1833 B.1901,Sophia B.1837, Caroline (no dates recorded).....Children of Elymas and Harriet...Francis Thonas B.1866 D.1936.
