Where can I find records for St Joseph's Female Orphan Asylum for the years 1891-1900? It was located at 723 Willoughby Ave. in Brooklyn NY.
Try google.com , www.askmrjeeves . If you go to google, just enter the place and state and it will send you to a site with many listings to try. If you go to askmrjeeves, ask your question and you'll most likely have to wait for an answer. I will check with ancestry.com to see if I can find more info for you.

Didn't find anything in ancestry but went to google and found this address hope it helps.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~ote/orphans go to bottom of page, you'll find St.Josephs.
What kind of information are you trying to find? That would probably give a better idea of where to look. It may be under census records or something like that...depending on what your looking for...
I typed the name of the asylum in the address bar (not google) and was taken to a whole list of web sites for orphanages including St. Joseph's. You can also type in New York Orphanages. There is a whole list of the residents. E-mail me back if you need for me to look up a name for you. The web site is The Olive Tree Genealogy and it's free.
