I have the sensors and craftsman openers AND I HATE THEM. I find myself constantly checking to make sure the doors close,(and they don't always) and the doors reopen. I had the opener repaired early this spring and asked the repairman to take the sensors off--he refused saying they were "legally" required. If I ever find anyone that knows how to remove them, it will be done. I hope someone answers your post and will let you know how to do it, so I can do mine, legal or not.
