Fossils in Israels, where to start?

Dear all, I am new to the Israeli geology (and paleontology) and I seek your advice. Where should I start looking for fossils, just any fossils? More specifically, are there any cambrian trilobites in Israel present? Have you ever found one? Is there a chance to find one? Where to start? Is that legal?

Thank you in advance!

To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.

If you want to know about fossils in Israel, I suggest you contact The Institute of Earth Sciences at the Hebrew University. Here is their web site.

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
1.  I know that there are relatively huge amounts of fossils
     in the Ramon crater.
2.  I saw them with my eyes (eye witness).
3.  I don't know to classify more (what specific fossile type).
4.  Have no Idea if it is legal or not.
5.  Today this area is very dry (seldome rains) but once it
was under the Tetis sea (name of an ancient sea).
Hope it helps.
Best regards,
