(11.5.09) -- Attending a conference, Barack Obama first addresses the conference attendees and gives one a "shout-out" before then turning his attention towards the horrific mass killings at the Ft. Hood Army base in Texas.

I don't have television, so I cannot say whether or not this clip was taken out of context.

But if it was not, then Mr. Obama's behavior in not immediately addressing the tragedy is rude, tacky, disrespectful and completely shameful.

When something like this happens, any scheduled remarks he was due to make should take a back seat to the topic of the emergency at hand.

Our president should be ashamed of himself.
