University of South Alabama ICU. My 29 year old son is in ICU in Gulfport Ms after suffering injuries from a car accident. He has been there since June 8. He has 3 chest tubes, he is on a ventilator. His right lung is contused, he has 6 flail ribs, a broken collarbone and pelvic fractures along with a lacerated liver. He had fluid on the outside of his right lung which they went in and cleaned out on Tuesday. His chest x-rays show the right lung to be very whitish. He spikes a fever quite frequently. He has pneumonia and the left lung has problems but not too severe. Are they taking the necessary steps to help his condition? They keep telling me that this is a very slow process. Is there anything else or different that USA could do for him?
