my wife and i are seperated and we live in different ststes . i live in wi and shelives in pa. i am also disabled and have no taxale income. can we file jointly.
If you have no taxable income, you do not have to file. However, it would be to your wife's advantage to file a "Married Filing Joint" return with you. She would either get more mony back or have to pay less tax. You do not have to live together to file a joint return.
