Farmland preservation tax credit

My brother and I inherited  property which is enrolled in the farmland preservation Act.  In order for both of our families to live on the property, the township required us to split off a 3 acre parcel for the other home.  Will we still be able to claim the farmland preservation credit or did splitting the property nullify this.
