There is one thing I would like to point out that the others have neglected to mention, however.
It is POSSIBLE that the Will you found was NOT this person's LAST Will & Testament. If that is the case, and it is a previous Will; then it would explain why you were never contacted (if the bequests had changed to someone else in the final version).
Nevertheless, the only way to know for sure is to do a little digging and pursue the action. Contact an attorney and go from there.
