Eating habits

I'm eating very fast, and so barely enjoy the food. Worse than that, I consume more because satiation is late to come. It's so hard to change. What can I do?

Life's too short for excessive compromise... maximize everything!

For dinner, I find that sipping a glass of wine between ever bit or so, and taking the time to think about the contrasting and complimentary flavors, not only enhances the dining experience, but slows down the entire process significantly.  That can certainly work for dinner, but I wouldn't suggest drinking wine with breakfast and lunch! Perhaps my advice will work well in conjunction with another answer.

Well, you could take more liquids during meals- juices, water, soda, what ever... And try to eat slowly, take your time... you could watch a movie alongside as u eat, or something f that sort; guess a little distraction will help. Aslo, may be going out to eat with friends atimes can help a little bit. Cos in the long run, u may end up to be over weightFrownsure u dont want that.

Goodluck and keep me posted of any improvements. All the best.

I know a great way to get over this - eat everything with chop sticks for a while. Really, it works, you eat both slower and smaller quantities in each bite. It's a much healthier way of eating.

Don't eat in front of the TV or computer or eat snacks standing up, sit down and enjoy every single meal. The thing is not to distract yourself from the food (with either movie or wine or whatever) but actually make sure your whole attention is given to eating it. I think that the fast eating comes from not giving food enough respect.
