There is just not enough energy in a gallon of gasiolie to push a 3,600 lb car 110 miles down the road. I could believe 40, but to get 110 MPG, you'd have to get a 5.5 HP engine and run it on a car that weighs 350 lb empty, and that's a theoretical figure.
