Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

Same reason ribbon candy disappears after Christmas and Cadbury Eggs disappear after Easter - they are commercial products and their companies do not believe there is value in marketing such products other than seasonally. You can make your own egg nog to enjoy whenever you wish, you know.

Some people are lonely because they build walls instead of bridges.

I have no idea. I love that stuff and wish it would be around all year long. My body probably appreciates it disappearing though, because it is so rich and fattening, but it sure is good.

You misunderstand me - I love eggnog; I always buy it as soon as it appears in stores and would probably keep buying it year-round IF it were available. But it is not. Most likely because the corporations who own the producers do not believe it is financially worth their while to market it on a year-round basis. Instead, they believe that it is more productive to limit the supply; e.g. the old supply/demand theory, capisce?
