Dim under mount lighting

Hi Eric, I have under mount lighting in my kitchen. one day when I turned it on, after a few minutes, they all went dim. It did it again a few more times then stayed dim. They are halogen lights but i do not have them set up on a dimming system. What do you think is the problem? Your dream woman lol Kim McGarvie
