Start by Googling the make, model no. to do a web search, get prices for new tool.  Also get names of retail establishments near you so you can check on actual prices at "brick and Mortar" stores.  Then search Amazon.com and Craigslist.org for sellers of same items.  I assume you want new tools, so most likely source will be Amazon.com.  Amazon sells new items often with no shipping charge.  Check their return policy, but their suppliers will usually honor a return.  Return postage is your expense, so be sure that purchase price via Amazon, or any other online seller you see when you Googled, is low enough to offset the cost of returning it.  When you buy online, the warranty is supported by the manufacturer, as long as it's new.  It may be too much trouble to return something via UPS, USPO, etc. compared to taking it back to the retail store you bought it from.  Try also Home Depot, and look in the telephone book for tool retailers.  Many times they have a sale on and are very competitive.
