What bands are the "cool kids" listening to these days? I sometimes flip through Rolling Stone, or watch a little MTV out of curiosity. Some of the groups I've noticed are The Killers, The Black Eyed Peas, TV on the Radio, My Chemical Romance, The Fray, and Gnarls Barkley (any relation to Charles Barkley?). What else is the MySpace generation tuned in to?; what videos do they watch on YouTube?

my own "cool kids" prefer Depeche Mode, The Strokes, Opeth and Franz Ferdinand.

And talking about Gnarls Barkley, their name is not a reference to Charles Barkley.

The videos young people watch on YouTube, can be specified according to the web site page of most viewed, top rated and most linked.

It seems that music has been recycled among the years ,besides trance,elctronic and house. There is nothing new,all the sounds are familier.Dispite of this fact,according the latest charts the hip hop/rap music which started on the 1970s combined funk and disco is the leeder of all music.The youngest are watching the video clips and therefor the popular dance is the brakedance.

"Everything old is new again," as the saying goes. Still, the old stuff is often enjoyable -- meaning that the new stuff could be enjoyable too.

Is there any new music that you like? What videos would you watch, if you were among the young people?

Video marketing

is a record label's job, that's why all bands have their stuff on YouTube. Whatever tools they decide to use are up to them, but it does have an impact on popularity. Rap videos do really well on YouTube.
