No. Your pasta will turn to mush. Cook your sausage and meatballs or whatever meat you have in the sauce in the slow cooker. Then cook your pasta just before supper time.

I disagree on several points, first of all what do you consider "all day"? 4hrs, 8hrs. 10hrs.? Penne pasta is very hearty, you will need to put as much water in the croc pot as it will hold. (just like when cooking on the flame). People have a tendency to NOT use sufficient water when cooking pasta, that's what makes it mushy & gummy. It would be similiar to leave it cooking on a super low flame, of course if you boil it all day, you'll get mush...on it's lowest setting my guess would be 6 hrs. max for al Dente...Have your sauce made in advance, drain pasta when you get home & mix together...Simple solution, hook up a lamp timer to your croc.

Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.

Pasta cooking time is about 10 minutes, give or take.

What is the reason that you would want to put it in a crock pot all day?
