Cracked brickwork

After correcting a settling house with twenty-two piers, I am left with cracked and shifted brickwork inside and out. I am told that the only "repair" is to replace. Is there any thing or any way to  cover the brick on the fireplace?

Whoever told you that your best bet would be to replace it is probably right.  You might be able to think up creative ways to cover the brick, but my friend at Schumacher Homes suggests rebuilding.

be creative,, and cover,, your house most likely is not going to fall down, ,  spend 1/10 on a decent plan of attack onthe fire place and get used to using plaster and fix those craks and repaint,,  dotn be upset if you have to do crack repairs in a year or so,, and ps, repairs to the fondation may even do the same thing in time, almost all houses setttel ,, so dotn waste your money ,, hope i could help,,  joe
