Compressed print code for dot matrix printer

I need the dot matrix print code for compressed print. Their manual gives the code as Sl or Sl but doesn't give a clue what Sl means. I use "g" to get 15cpi mode, but need 17cpi mode.Have no idea how I can receive an answer to this question, but my email is drrdc@aol.comthanks

I'm adding this to my question after I noticed that esc enclosed in brackets it just discarded from my original question, meaning that the question isn't really quite complete. I used the bracketed esc twice, once before the second Sl and once before the "g".
