Can I collect retirement and social security disability simultaneously? I retired from the USPS in 2005 then began work as a housekeeper (paying into Social Security). I recently slipped the disc in my back; and cannot work. Can I collect Social Security Disability now at the same time I am getting Civil Service retirement?
