Megan...You're living the oldest game young girls have ever played...this happens to so many, you're not alone. No, I'm not trying to look at this lightly, because it hurts your heart every time when you think about it. What I learned is this...the school I went to was small as well, so I became the person that, if you needed to know about many things, I was the "geek" then it was called smart hinney (polite word). I started reading all the different dictionaries I could, even foreign language dictionaries, including one called ...The Dictionary of Cultural Literacy" it tells you about EVERYTHING, and reads more like a book than a dictionary. It helped me to relate to those things that were of interest to others, and many times gave me the opportunity to give them good idea, or share something interesting they may not known about. And in the meantime, opeded the doors for me to learn some of the coolest stuff ever. It's not always who you know, but what you know about them. The more you know over all about many subjects, the easier it is for you to talk to and relate to just about any one...But I would like to give you a special tip if I may...when you just "know" how to do something better then someone else, first ask them if you can "make a suggestion", then you don't come off looking like a smartty pants...I learned that the hard way, and lost potential friends because of it. Hope I helped. Oh by the way...I used that dictionary as a school book for my son when he was a home schooler, he loved it too !
