They don't put older people in the advertisements because they are probably trying to use the 'sex sells' aproach. By using young, muscular and beautiful men and woman, it probably attracts more sales. This is not to say that the machine only works for that specific age group. My grandfather still goes to a personal trainer, at the age of 72, and looks great. If he could have one of these machines in his home, he would be so happy!!
