I'm working on my mother's estate, and have found paperwork on the Capital Preferred Yield Fund Liquidation in Dec 2001. The Payment Advice shows the distributions were sent to: John Hancock Funds. How do I determine if this was a final distribution? And, she had written on the envelope, to Hancock? She didn't have a fund with them. I can contact Hancock, but not sure about the liquidated fund.
