I am thinking of getting another german shepherd. I had one a few years ago (actually we loved her for 12 years until she died). I am afraid of inadvertently buying one from a puppy mill if I shop on-line...not finding anything local. How can I be sure I am getting a healthy, even-tempered puppy? I see this mother had a litter in Dec and now again in May???
