How to eliminate eel grass build up on a boat ...

how to eliminate eel grass build up on a boat water jet The water jet is made by Hamilton and the problem is that it jams up wiyh ell grass causing the water jet to stop pumping. I tried modifying the the intake ( Grate ) but this did very little to resolve the build up of eel grass. Looking for help on this problem
