I have an enclosed stairway to a 2nd floor apartment in a duplex, with cream colored steps in a faux stone-like finish, I assume were laid with some form of mortar. Many of them reveal hairline cracks, the likely result from years of various renters moving heavy furniture up and down them, but I nevertheless would like to clean them, and accentuate their attractive, though subtle textures. How would I best accomplish this?
