I have two daughters who are different ages and will become B'not Mitzvah this year. Whose name should be first on the invitation? Should it be the oldest or alphabetical?
thanks for your help
To say nothing, especially when speaking, is half the art of diplomacy.
I would put the oldest first.
Traditionally in Jewish culture, the oldest comes first. In some cases this is adhered to so rigidly that the younger daughter is not allowed to marry until the oldest daughter has married.
Love is the battery of life....
Hi Karen,With all respect: You celebrate Bat-Mitzva exactly at the age of 12. If your 2 daughters are not twins than you have to celebrate it separately (each one when she gets 12 years old). Best regards,
Got an answer for karen? Would you like to comment on the posted answers, or vote for the one which you think is the best?
